My Crazy Wingnut Life!! LOL

This was Tuesday
Tee hee I ran to the bank after work, stopped here & let the puppies out. Than went & paid the electric bill, stopped at the salon, than ran next door to Joker's. Got lots of hugs from everyone!! Than went to the yard sale meet, came home reheated leftovers for dinner. Than this is the tee hee part, I started the washer & gathered all the dark colors to throw in & stripped off my work clothes too!! I went here by the computer & dang if the door bell doesn't ring???? DH answers it & it's Ric my 7 o'clock haircut???? I totally forgot!! I scream quietly at DH not to let him in!!! Cause my front door is right here in the front hall. If he let's him in he'll see me!!! Probably run screaming my eyes, my eyes!!!! So I had to scoot around DH to run & get dressed!!! LOL My heart was pounding!!

This was Thursday
I have loads to do today!! I have to go let Susan's dog out last night & this morning & feed him! She had to go to Charlotte, long story. Than hit Sally's on the way back for a 10:30 color. My other one cancelled till Saturday morning. I have a wedding to go to Sat. night so have to find a gift?? She has the photography shop next to where we were. They live together so I know they have stuff?? Who knows??

This is today early

Ya know I've been up since the crack of dawn!! LOL I've been sewing & playing Pogo!! I also was thinking about the "wedding present" So I went around the house & looked at "my stuff" to see what I used on a daily basis. So I came up with these nesting bowls. I think there are 5 of them & I use them for everything!! So I'm going to go to Olde Time Pottery & see if they have them still or hit TJMaxx for something???

Later today!
I went & got bowls they are different than mine & there's 8 to this set! Than hit the dollar store they had Hanes her way t-shirts in white for a buck!!! Sweet!! I got 4 tee hee!! Stopped at the food store for a few things. Than came home & went & read a book out in the sun ugggghhhhhhh HOT!!! So then DH came home & said something about going downtown to sign up to win a boat from the radio station. I looked on line to see where it was & their sister station was at the Harley shop 6 to midnight & downtown was from 6 to 10. LOL we went to the Harley shop first they had free pizza & sodas. I was talking to this girl come to find out she was the DJ, I was sweating bullets while I'm trying to eat pizza & talk to her. I'm telling ya it was dripping off my eyebrows ewwwwwwwwww anyway she said do you like Jonny Lang? I said I don't think I've heard of him, she said he's kinda bluesy. I said yes I like bluesy, she gave me tickets to go see him in Myrtle Beach on Thursday night at the House of Blues!!! Than we head downtown & I kept getting hotter & hotter DH was like are you OK?? I'm like I'm HOT!! So we stopped by the house where's he's working. It's a really old huge house. I think the sign on the front said it was the William's house built in 1868. Nice big porches & huge windows. Than on to the main event where walked like 5 blocks & he's like in la la land?? Men??!! I'm sweating now my hair is soaked my t-shirt is soaked, sweat is running down my back I'm uncomfortable & he's wanting to walk around till he looks at me & said lets go find some AC. We go in a pizza place & get a drink which I downed in 2 seconds flat!! LOL he's like dang & gets me more!! I drank 2 sodas & 2 teas!! The heat index is 104 & feels like someone threw a wet smothering blanket on me!!

So I was browsing around some blogs!

And came across this fabulous giveaway!! It's for her 100th post you can sign up to June 21st!!! So go here & check it out!!

I must tell you this DH has a friend who lost his job in Raleigh. Has a 1 month old baby. So DH got him a job where he's working. The kid came down Saturday night was going to be here by 6, showed up at 9. So on Sunday we cleaned out the storage/pantry room. So they could set up the air mattress for him to sleep. So Monday rolls around they have to be on the job by 8am. DH calls me at 9 asks if the kid came back to the house?? I said no I haven't seen him?? He left all the stuff DH set him up with by the back gate?? Guess he high tailed it back to Raliegh?? He's not answering his phone?? How crazy?? So I was mad about it, considering how much stuff we had to move. But I'm over it now cause I had wanted to paint in there!! So alls good!!

NINE WORDS WOMEN USE

(1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

(2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

(3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.
(4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

(5) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)

(6) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

(7) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' . that will bring on a 'whatever').

(8) Whatever: Is a woman's way of saying F-- YOU!

(9) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3.

* Send this to the men you know, to warn them about arguments they can avoid if they remember the terminology.

* Send this to all the women you know to give them a good laugh, cause they know it's true!!!

Got this in an email & it tickled me! LOL

Yes!! I found the paper!!

LOL I've been driving myself crazy looking for the paper I wrote those recipes on yesterday!! But I found them!! Right here on my desk, now that's scary!!
This is the
Basmati Rice & Peas Recipe

2 cups low salt chicken broth
1 Tbs. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup uncooked basmati rice
1 can black eyed peas drained & rinsed
1 1/2 tsp. lemon zest
Green onions (optional)

Bring broth, butter & salt to a boil over medium heat. Stir in rice, cover & reduce heat to low. Simmer 20 minutes until rice is tender. Remove from heat & add peas & zest using a fork. Cover & let sit stand 5 minutes. Sprinkle with green onions.

I cooked some patty & link sausages & some bacon for DH's breakfast's. Makes my life easier!! Than made some egg salad for his lunch. Cleaned up the kitchen & decided to move the microwave from the counter to the baker's rack. Had it in the corner & just felt like I was wasting space. Plus I wanted the food processor out. I use it a lot & it gets heavy moving it back under the cabinet! So far I like it!

I was just looking I've been blogging for a year as of May 2008 & I'm coming up on my 200th post??!! Will have to look into a giveaway!! yippee!!

Boy I'm tired!

I worked yesterday for one of the girls at the old salon shampooing. She called at 7 am she did something to her back. So I said yes I would come help her out! While I was there another friend called she was booked for Saturday & the other girl she works with had taken the day off. So could I come work with her Saturday?? So of couse I said yes!! I made some extra money yippiee!! While I was waiting I looked at a Southern Living & wrote 3 recipes down I found 2 on there site, but I can't find the 3rd??? And of course I can't find what I did with the paper I wrote it on??? Agggghhhhhh!! LOl I want to try these!

Beekeeper's Jezebel Sauce

Prep: 10 min., Cook: 4 min. This sweet-and-spicy sauce is delicious served with pork tenderloin and grilled chicken or as a dipping sauce for fried shrimp. It also makes a great savory spread for biscuits or roast beef and turkey sandwiches.

Yield
Makes about 1 1/2 cups (serving size: 1/4 cup)

Ingredients
1 (15.25-oz.) jar apricot preserves
1/4 cup fat-free chicken broth*
1/4 cup honey
3 tablespoons horseradish
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
1/4 teaspoon dried crushed red pepper
Preparation
1. Whisk together all ingredients in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, whisking frequently, 3 to 4 minutes or until thoroughly heated and sauce is a pourable consistency. Use immediately, or store in an airtight container in refrigerator up to 1 week.

*Vegetable broth may be substituted.

Note: For testing purposes only, we used Polaner All Fruit Apricot Spread.

Note: To make a spread, prepare recipe as directed, omitting chicken broth. Use immediately, or store in an airtight container up to 1 week.

Zesty Honey-Lemon Dressing
Prep: 10 min. Serve this dressing over fresh garden greens or drizzle over steamed green beans, asparagus, or broccoli.

Yield
Makes about 3/4 cup (serving size: 1 tbsp.)

Ingredients
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
3 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon lemon zest
4 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 garlic clove, pressed
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/3 cup olive oil
Preparation
1. Whisk together chopped fresh parsley and next 7 ingredients in a small bowl. Add oil in a slow, steady stream, whisking constantly until smooth. Use immediately, or store in an airtight container in refrigerator up to 5 days. If chilled, let stand at room temperature 15 minutes. Whisk before serving.

The other one was for a balsamic rice with black eyed peas side dish. Sounded really good & something different!
Than I found a different biscuit recipe on TOH that sounded really easy! I might try it tomorrow!

Butter_Dipped Biscuit Squares

These are the easiest and best biscuits I've ever made. They are light and
buttery and go well with virtually any meal.

2 cups self-rising flour*
2 T. sugar
1 cup milk
1/2 cup butter (no substitutes) , melted
All-purpose flour

In a bowl, combine the self-rising flour, sugar and milk; mix well. Turn onto a
floured surface; sprinkle with all-purpose flour. Pat dough to 1/2 inch
thickness. With a sharp knife dipped in flour, cut into 3 inch by 2 inch pieces.
Pour butter into an ungreased 13x9x2 baking pan. Dip one side of each piece into
melted butter. Carefully turn to coat. Bake, uncovered, at 450 for 10 minutes
or until golden brown. Yield: 15 biscuits.

*Editor's Note: As a substitute for each cup of self-rising flour, place 1-1/2
t. baking powder and 1/2 t. salt in a measuring cup. Add all-purpose flour to
measure 1 cup.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY...

Women are like phones:
They like to be held, talked to, and touched often.
But push the wrong button and your ass is disconnected.
