Black Friday, anyone shopping?

tee hee I got up at 4am????
Do you wanna go shopping??? I'm not really going! My tummy is hurting too much food from yesterday.
I have big plans to get some stuff done!!
Like a few more totes for gifts, the ordered baby quilt & the binding on the black, white & bright colored quilt!
Plus general stuff like laundry, straighten up you know that kinda stuff!!
Than last time we were at the in laws, DH raved about his step Mom's chicken salad. So I got her to tell me how she makes hers! Sweet so DH will be happy that I going to try & recreate hers when I make it next time!

If your out shopping please be careful!

Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting

3/4 cup butter, softened
2-1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 can (15 ounces) pumpkin puree
2-1/3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
1 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup milk
FROSTING:
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened
3 cups confectioners' sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Mix the cream cheese and butter at medium speed until smooth.Add the confectioners’ sugar, vanilla ; beat until smooth. Frost cupcakes. Refrigerate leftovers

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line cupcake pan with paper liners (18 cups).
Beat the butter with the sugar with a mixer on medium-high until very light in color, 4 to 5 minutes (if using a hand mixer, it may take a little longer). Scrape down the bowl with a spatula as you go.
With the mixer on medium, add the eggs to the butter mixture 1 at a time, allowing each addition to completely blend. Add the pumpkin and blend well.
Sift together all of the dry ingredients, whisk to blend. With the mixer on the lowest speed, add the flour mixture and milk alternatively, beginning and ending with the flour.
Fill each liner 3/4 full with batter. Bake 15 to 20 minutes, until the tops are firm to the touch and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool the cupcakes. Frost and serve

New Turkey recipe

HAPPY THANKSGIVING..........Here is a recipe I thought you would like for the holidays

Ingredients:
1 whole turkey
1 large lemon, cut into halves
salt and pepper to taste
butter or olive oil, whichever you prefer

Heat oven to 350 degrees

Rub butter or oil over the skin of the turkey until it is completely coated.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper and any other seasonings you prefer.

Take a knife and gently separate the skin from the breast meat;
Slide lemon halves under the skin with the peel side up, one on
each side. This way the juice from the lemon will release into the breasts.

Cover and bake for 30-45 minutes. Remove cover and continue
to roast until juices run clear, basting every 15-20 minutes.

If you've followed these steps correctly, your turkey should
look like the one in the picture.

Bon Appetit!

Tee hee sorry I'm full of it today!! Got the silly's!!

So rainy yuck!

Our weather is a rainy yucky mess! It's gotten colder too.
After my emotional day yesterday I decided I was only going to do what made me happy today! LOL I didn't have any hair appointments, they all are coming next week.
I went to our home owners insurance company after they called yesterday & said we were cancelled?? They had no idea what was going on?? So we are all good there!
Then I went to the new salon to give one of the girls a baby quilt for her new GDG! I got an order to make one in baby colors! SWEET!!
Than I went to Dollar store to get a few things. Went to the PO after that to get one of my orders out!! Yippiee!!
Than I was wet & cold so I changed my clothes, got on the couch with a puppy at my feet & a kitty under the quilt with me LOL & took a 20 minute power nap!
Than made a fresh 1/2 pot of coffee, yummm & decided to tackle the quilting machine!
Looking for the perfect speed, tension & stitch length. I finally got it!!! So I put the finally baby quilt of the four on the frame, got it quilted plus a Halloween wall hanging!!

Made a simple dinner of grilled steaks, steamed broccoli & carrots plus a baked potato.

I have to get my things I'm donating ready & marked for our church bazaar on Saturday. Have to be there tomorrow night at 6 to set-up!
I need a plan for dinner so it's ready before I go!!
