Glad Saturday's over!!

Ughhh my stupid cell started right up at the cingular store???? wacky!! So I bailed out on getting a new one LOL They really don't have free ones at the store but they do online?? Who knows what the answer is?? I will figure out something!!! I did work today LOL I was so worried about getting DH's paint this morning I forgot to grab my hair bag?? Ackkkkk so I'm about half way to the shop before I realize I don't have it!! NO scissors. clipper's ugggg!! Made it tough to work with borrowed stuff!! But all's well that ends well!!

Saturday already!!

Ughhhh feeling rough this morning!! We went to Billy Goat's for a friend's birthday. Plan was to have a drink or 2 then head out for our date nite!! Boy did that backfire!! LOL Birthday girl's new boyfriend had to make a scene & was going to leave her there!! Such drama.......anyway a bunch of us went to our regular watering hole to get some food. Was yummy haven't been there in a long time so got to see a bunch of people, including an EX ewwww DH was going to sit next to him, I was like NO I'm not sitting by him!!! LOL We had fun, but I remember why I don't drink anymore!! I have to stop & pick up paint for DH on my way to work ,he's working today too & doing a side job tomorrow. Hopefully his help will show up & I will not have to work with him!! Plus I still need to do the stuff we didn't do last nite!! Like go to Cingular, I'm still having trouble with my phone, so going to bite the bullet & get another 2 year contract & a free phone, DH's line get to upgrade too, so we will have an extra phone than too!! What makes me mad is all the ringtones stay with the phone & you have to pay to get them again?? I think that's wrong!! Than have to go food shopping & Joanne's for iron on interfacing. I have one more purse to finish the straps on!! The boss ordered one when I took them into work yesterday!! She wants a large pocket on the inside to hold a money bag.

Feels like another Monday!

Hi all!! I got woke up in the middle of the night, by Tango kitty knocking my ceramic jewerly box off my dresser?? I couldn't walk over & turn the light on. Cause I couldn't see what it was?? Just stuff all over the floor, 0f course DH didn't wake up?? Well I ended up turning the bathroom light on & pushed it all to the the side of the dresser. Talk about a rude wake up!! Good news DH got promoted today gets a company van & phone & a raise!! Thank you Lord!! I've been praying hard since the refinance fell thru!! He's not home yet, had to go price a side job!! So if there's anymore details I'll let you know!! Other good news I got my Desperate Housewifes package today!! I can't wait to look at the cookbook!! Also got a pink t-shirt, 2 red oven mitts & an apple timer!! Thank you Babette & Desperate Housewifes!! And of couse Bakespace!!! Now for the ughhh news!! I feel like crap, cold, headache & my ears hurt?? Making a cup of tea right now!

Not much new

My back is biting me, so taking it easy! Got a quilt binding hand sewn on then threw it in the wash. I wanted to cut out some more pj bottoms. The pattern comes with a button down top was going to try & modify it to a pullover. Big thing I did was go to Walmart & get some milk & eggs. And I forgot to get gas hope I can make it there lol!! We have leftover lasagna that we need to freezer or eat. Did both lol! Frozen 3 pieces & heated up 2 pieces for dinner with a side salad. Need to do better with the low carb, I'm stuck?? Guess I'll just have to restart everything Tuesday!!
I'm going to post some pictures tomorrow of the finished baby quilt's & the one I finished this morning.

Ugghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

Had good news yesterday afternoon, our refinance fell thru!! I'm so disgusted I can't stand it!! I get to start at the new hair salon today at noon, so instead of saving for a quilting machine I get to help play catch up on the bills that were not paid cause they were to be in the new mortagage yippiee for me!!! I'm right ready to cry!!!

Whewwwwwwwww!!

It's been a beautiful sunny hot day here in NC!! I got the front & back grass cut. Got a beautiful bruise & cut on my left shin from something shooting out the lawnmower OUCH!! I even sat out for an hour! DH has one of the boss's coming for dinner tomorrow night, he has requested me to make lasagna, salad & garlic bread. Have had my sauce simmering all day. I get off at 2 tomorrow so will get it all together then!!

Then we stopped down the street they were having a car wash, so got my truck washed. DH said he was hungry, so went to Golden Corral yummm Then went to Walmart & got a bunch of stuff!!

New Job?? What am I thinking??

Good morning!!! LOL I was up & gone by 7:30 this morning. Went to meet the owner of the salon, she's nice, laid back & funny!! She hugged me & wants me to start right away! LOL said I can work Friday & Saturday at the times given & if I want more to come on up.I then was a bad girl & stopped at the thrift shop tee hee!! I found a Brother vx710 sewing machine for 15 bucks!! Of course I had to buy it, came home & tuned her up sews like a dream, nice & quite!! I think I'll put the Singer one on Craig's list & sell her, she's OK but can't lower the feed dogs for free motion sewing.Susan's party last night was a hit!! The sea serpent was taken with my newly fixed Canon AE-1. I had them developed at Walgreen's got negatives & a disk. They make you upload their photo software? So not right!! I did it, but than exported them to another folder & deleted their stuff. They also make the pictures on the disk sideways?? Crazy, I spent way to long fussing with the pictures!! But I'm tickled I fixed my camera!!

Good Monday morning!!

Hope all had a great Mother's Day!! I went up to Mom's ,Jodie my SIL & my baby Skylar were there too!! We had a blast!!! My younger bro came back for lunch, we had do-it-yourself salads! I took my camera & shot a whole roll of film!! I took some pictures of the sea serpent that lives in the front garden lol it's a 3 piece cement thing!! And of course Skyler!! Can't wait to get them developed! I finished 1 pair of Pj pants, have another cut out. Going to try & sew those up after work!

Wow!! I had no clue!!

I stole this from over in BYC!! I had no clue it was there!! I've been using aluminum foil for more years than I care to remember. Great stuff, but sometimes it can be a pain. You know, like when you are in the middle of doing something and you try to pull some foil out and the roll comes out of the box. Then you have to put the roll back in the box and start over. The darn roll always comes out at the wrong time. Well, I would like to share this with you. Yesterday I went to throw out an empty Reynolds foil box and for some reason I turned it and looked at the end of the box. And written on the end it said, "Press here to lock end". Right there on the end of the box is a tab to lock the roll in place. How long has this little locking tab been there? I then looked at a generic brand of aluminum foil and it had one, too. I then looked at a box of Saran wrap and it had one too! I can't count the number of times the Saran warp roll has jumped out when I was trying to cover something up. I hope I'm not the only person that didn't know about this

Just rambling!

AC is still on here. I tried to sit out in the sun LOL I had trouble sitting still! So I came in the house got laundry going, baked some brownie's & cupcakes for DH. Started dinner, than I've been having trouble with my Canon AE1 35mm camera. It would not shut off, so if I forgot to take out the battery:( I have to go buy another one & they are not cheap. So I decided I was going to take it to be serviced. I started dusting off the lens & stuff. Got this brilliant idea to take a piece of quilting thread & run it under the off button!!! I FIXED IT!!! I'm thrilled!!! Saved myself a pile of money, that I didn't have anyway!!

Yard sale adventures

I got 7 cookbooks,4 romance novels, an Inspiational book Apples of Gold Wings of Silver Treasures of Silver by Jo Perry, a dressmaker's sewing machine with tons of bobbins, thread & attachments, 2 full flat sheets. I spent 10 bucks!! Than I went to Joker's & ordered a backpack/camera bag, he gave me a discount yippiee!! Should be here in 2 weeks. Than I hit the Food Lion & got some dinner stuff!! I'm trying to decide if I want to go sit in the sun or what??? Hope y'all are having a great day!

Good morning
We turned our AC on last night it was soo hot here! DH got up in the middle of the night & turned it down brrrrrrrrrrrrrr feel like I'm sitting in a meat locker!Gonna try & hit a few yard sales, looking for some vintage sheets, to make more Pj's.I gave Harley a bath yesterday, plus trimmed her nails. I did hurt her on one I felt so bad but she didn't yelp either, just pulled her paw back. Didn't bleed much:( than after she was dry sprinkled her with flea powder.DH is working today & tomorrow:(I got Mom taken care of for Mother's day. She wants her haircut & her 2 featherweigh sewing machine's cleaned & oiled. Plus I bought her a Sak pocketbook, she loves those!!

Finally got some stuff done!!

Any way I got another binding on a baby quilt yippee!!I saw someone had made pj pants out of a sheet, I have a full sheet I might try it!! Than I printed out a Twist bag pattern looks like fun!! I went thru a bunch of Cd's to see what was on them & marked the ones I saved & trashed the rest.

LOL what the heck am I doing? I'm not a writer! I'm a doer, I fly by the seat of my pants! Always getting into something or other.
Today's no different. Had to take my truck to get the oil changed but first I wanted to sew the binding on a quilt. Yes got that done than decided I needed to clean & oil the machine. I was going to be at the oil change place at 8 lol 20 to 10 I got there. Left there 2 hours later ugggggg than I'm getting ready to pay, they want to change the tranmission fluid cause it's dark. I'm like I've been here 2 hours for an oil change that should only take 20 to 30 minutes tops??? Ackkk so I left there & hit the thrift store & got nothing:( happens that way sometimes!!
Still have lots to do today need to get it together!!
