Yummy still cooking!
I browned up the beef ribs I got on sale in a bit of olive oil, than put in a pan & added some beef stock. Covered with foil for about 3 hours.
Than I took one of the whole cut up chicken & cooked it up for chicken pot pie. I used biscuits as my crust.
After my hubby got into it, so much for getting 2 meals out of it!! LOL

Yeah it's Thursday!!
Yes I'm still a cleaning fool!! I got 2 more closets cleaned out!
Than today I baked bread in my dutch oven. Is that not pretty?
BASQUE SHEEPHERDER'S BREAD
3 cups very hot tap water
1/2 cup (1/4 lb) butter or margarine
1/3 cup sugar
2 1/2 tsp salt
2 pkg active dry yeast
9 to 9 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Salad oil
In a large bowl, combine hot water, butter, sugar, and salt. Stir until butter has melted; let cool to about 110 degrees. Stir in yeast, cover, and set in a warm place until bubbly (about 15 minutes).
Beat in about 5 cups of the flour to make a thick batter. Stir in enough of the remaining flour (about 3 1/2 cups) to make a stiff dough. Turn dough out onto a floured board; knead until smooth and satiny (10 to 20 minutes), adding flour as needed to prevent sticking. Place dough in a greased bowl; turn over to grease top. Cover and let rise until doubled (about 1 1/2 hours).
Punch dough down and knead briefly on a floured board to release air; shape into a smooth ball. With a circle of foil, cover the inside bottom of a 5-quart cast-iron or cast-aluminum Dutch oven. Grease foil, inside of Dutch oven, and underside of lid with salad oil.
Place dough in Dutch oven and cover with lid. Let rise in a warm place until dough pushes up lid by about 1/2 inch (about 1 hour -- watch closely).
Bake, covered with lid, in a preheated 375 degree oven for 12 minutes. Remove lid and bake for another 30 to 35 minutes or until loaf is golden brown. Remove from oven and turn out onto a rack to cool (you'll need a helper). Peel off foil and turn loaf upright. Makes 1 very large loaf.

Than I put a whole chicken in it with onions & garlic. It's in the oven for 1 hour than going to add 2 small cans of chopped tomatoes & cook for 1/2 hr. more! Smells yummy

Good Monday morning!
It's a beautiful day here already! Windows are open & there's a nice cool breeze.
I spent yesterday cleaning out my hall closet. We haven't smoked in the house in over a year. But yuck everything in there smelled like smoke? So I washed clothes that were hanging in there plus hung the jackets, coats etc. outside. Found a few things for the yard sale site. Then got rid of some junk! Yippiee! I need to wash the walls before I put anything back in there.
Saturday I met my Mom & she bought me prizes!! Plus a green silk purse with dragonflies & flowers. I forgot to get a picture of it?

OUCH!!
Let me tell you I worked out in the yard for 5 1/2 hours?? I'm crazy!!
The electric weed eater quit about halfway thru than the rake snapped in half?? I ended up hitting myself in the chin & neck with that one! I whacked bushes in the back yard near the garage. Cut the front grass & got some weed whacked. Then got out the hedge clippers & started on the bushes in the front. I have a huge pile of branches. I killed a poor garden snake by accident it was the weed whacker that got it. Than it's mate was sitting on the step landing, I felt so bad!
On Tuesday I joined the 50million pounds challange! Yeah me! I've lost 4 lbs. so far!!

OMGosh I made pretzel coated chicken for dinner & it was fabulous!!
I took 2 boneless chicken breasts & cut them into strips. Then dipped into 2 beaten eggs than coated with pretzel crumbs, parmesan cheese & pepper. Pan fried them in olive oil. Here there are in a dish I put them in to keep warm. Yummy!
Also the craft show is NOT happening I talked to my friend I was doing it with & she has heard nothing?? Not even on how to get our money back??

LOL My poor blog :(
I've been busy & haven't been on much. Hubby & I started FALL CLEANING on Saturday aggghhhhhh! So we moved furniture around, vacuumed, mopped, washed windows & curtains. Had a big mess on Sunday to sort out. DBIL calls him & his girlfriend were in town & could they come for dinner. WHAT!!!! Everything is a mess??? Hubby says YES??? Oh boy did we scramble to get sorted out! By the time they got there we were exhausted! But was a good visit.
Hubby worked Monday & I goofed off & watched a bunch of Design Star & Chopped LOL
He also started a side job last night that should be done Friday night plus he's working all weekend. Than has to go Monday after work to look at some rental properties for a friend of mine. Hopefully they will like the price & get him to paint it on the side too!! Yippiee!!
I have a light hair day so I'm going to try & get my act together & finish a few projects! Still have not got that other quilt of Mom's on the frame, boy I'm slacking!! Plus we still have not heard from the craft show!??????????

I got my prize from Sew Quilty!! Looks adorable, maybe I can get it done before Halloween!!
Sew Quilty my copy & paste works fine with the right click of my mouse.
I'm trying to get a few more totes done for the show, but the sad thing is I lost interest cause they still have not let us know if we have been accepted?? How crazy is that?? And where am I going to store this stuff?? Crazy!!
I must run & feed this starving cat, she keeps smacking my arm & crying?

Yippiee it's Tuesday!!!
OK just catching up!!
Julie & Julia I thought was fabulous!! I had a good time with Susan & her Mom!!
Sunday I took apart my beloved Harley Davidson purse I got for my birthday oh about 3 years ago. I so loved this bag but didn't last as long as I wanted it to:( I had to put a new zipper in it awhile back. Used a metal one instead of the nylon like it was. So was able to use it still tee hee but the poor lining was a total mess??
So here she is all undone (except for the zipper & strap)
And ta da here she is all resurrected!! In cotton & I reused the zipper & strap! She's just the perfect size for me!
Bummer that picture is fuzzy will have to get a better one later.
