Been slacking
So spent 2 hours getting chemo on Valentine's Day & this was my view
I made this for the nurses, so hopefully they will forgive me for being so crabby last week!!
Saltine Cracker Candy
40 salted saltine crackers (or enough to line your pan)
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 cups milk chocolate or semisweet chocolate chips
(optional) 3/4 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 400.
Line a 9x13-inch pan with aluminum foil. Line pan with saltine crackers in a single layer.
In a small pot combine sugar and butter. Bring to a boil and continue boiling for 3 minutes. Mixture should be a deep caramel color. Immediately pour over saltines and spread to cover crackers completely.
Bake for 5 to 6 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the top. Place back in oven for 1 minute. Remove from oven and spread melted chocolate chips over crackers. Top with chopped nuts. Allow to cool and break into pieces.
Than I took some puff pastry & parmasan cheese & did this!
I can't color my hair?? They say it's too hard on it?? LOOK at all that grey!!!
I found out some stuff on Friday about the surgery & I'm not really happy about it :( They said it was discussed in Chapel Hill?? Both my Mom & I don't remember it??
I have 2 CT scans with contrast on Friday morning. Ughhhhhh have to drink some white stuff tomorrow night than another at 6am, ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww than they might make me drink more there??!!!!!!!!!!! Hope not!!

So sorry you are having a bad time Tango, I am sure those Nurses would forgive you even without those delicious goodies you have made. Thinking of you. xx
Oh, there you are going through chemo and you're still cooking and thinking of others! How brave are you?
Hey, how thoughtful of you...thinking of the nurses while going through chemo...xxx
I am sure they have seen cranky before and understand but bet that 'yummyness' helped! Sorry you are going through all this. Hope they figure things out. We kept a notebook with all Mama's stuff when speaking with all med drs and such, wrote down. Only way I could keep up! That gray looks fine!
Hugs,
Lola
Sounds like we're going through the same kind of thing. It's no fun at all!! All my best to you and I'll keep you in my prayers.
Your gray is not so bad, I just went gray so I wouldn't have to dye it. I have been gray forever.
I know this is hard....so sorry.
You've earned the grey hair so wear it proudly!!! I love that candy you made for the nurses ... they must have been putty in your hands after they sampled it - who could resist it! Your puff pastry and parmesan sounds delicious - gotta try that.
Keep hanging in there ... you're doing good. Big HUGS.
