So I tried another recipe for Artisan bread. This one you let sit over night to rise. As you can see mine didn't rise, LOL Epic Fail!! I'm thinking it's the humidity here?? Flavor was good though!!
I do notice that the weather plays such an important role in bread success. The taste is good, but the texture and look take a real hit with the different climate.
You should have seen an Herbed Bread Ring I made a few years ago. It got a really nice first rise, then I think you sprinkled herbs and cheese on top and let it continue or something like that - can't remember now. Anyhow, when I went back to bake it, it looked like a flat tire. I cried from laughing - baked it anyhow and it was delicious. I just called it flabtread at dinner. ;)
At least the flavor was good and it sure looks pretty. Make sure your yeast is fresh. thats usually the issue with rising. You can always proof your bread in a "cold" oven to control the humidity. :)

I'm not very good with bread making either TT.
Now that I'm eating gluten free I find the gluten free mixes work a bit better.
Better luck next time.
