Thank You & a Winner!

First I want to Thank everyone for the Prayers, Hugs & Thoughts! The Memorial service was very nice. The Church was packed & I cried.
These flowers came from relatives of DBIL. They are beautiful!

I'm having a hard time cause DH & I did a lot together. I do a lot of walking around in a daze. I want to stay in my PJ's & not go out of the house! I do force myself to get a shower & dressed & do something!

I finished this last night for Mom!

I am glad to hear you are keeping yourself going. It is normal to take some time to recover following such a loss. If you need someone to talk to, let me know.

The quilt is lovely. you said you "finished it for mom" does that mean you quilted it for her Or did you make it for her? Just curious. I love the variety of blocks in it.

Being in a daze is very normal after such a loss, but how thoughtful of you to continue with your giveaway. Congratulations to the winner. My prayers are with you.

It is not unusual for you to feel dazed. It is a hard process. I've not lost a spouse, but lost my Mom right at the holidays one year. It leaves such a void. Praying you will take hold of the Lord's hand and let Him surround you with His love and comfort.

I am sure that most of us would be the same way after such a loss. His absence must be so difficult with all that you did together. It is great that you are making yourself do things each day. That has to be so hard.

The flowers are just gorgeous. That was so thoughtful.

Your quilt is fabulous!! What a beautiful job you did on it. I know she will love it.

Give yourself permission to grieve but it's also good that you do make yourself get dressed and try to do something.....don't want to slip into any serious depression state (and it seems like you are being mindful of that). The Christmas quilt for your mother is TERRIFIC!! Congrats to your winner, also.

my hubs lost his grandmother yesterday, and she was from California like him, he wasn't able to fly out there, so it was pretty tough on him. i've been thinking about you and hope in time, your heart won't hurt as bad. HUGS
