I love the fall because of the crisp weather. I am not a summer person as you are. I love the changing of the trees. The way the horse perk up when its cool. I love all the Holidays that come with the Fall... Halloween, Thanksgiving. Then the Best Holiday of all is coming soon after that Christmas...
To me fall is the best time of year :) Because more family and friends get together during this time.

fall is great because unlike summer the mosquitoes are on holiday! I also like the scrunchy sound leaves make as I walk through them, the cooler nights, the bright colours the trees turn....

Love the pattern...and I collect salt and pepper shakers! I love the fall because the colors, the deep reds, yellows, oranges, greens and golds are so peaceful!! The colors and aromas make me think of wood fires, good books, and quilts....oh, and a cup of cider :)
I love the fall because I enjoy the crisp, cool air and the smell of wood fires, the beautiful colors of the trees as they change from greens to red, gold, orange and just everything about it!! It was my favorite time of the year as a child and 50+ years later, it is still my favorite time of year! Nice prizes and the little scarecrow guys are just too cute!

While in Iowa a few years ago in October, I LOVED being driven around to see all the fall decorations and the fall colors. Most people hibernate in the fall and winter. I used to love fall because kids would be off to school and leave more time for the sewing room, now I love fall watching grandkids going off to school, but yet finding the time to come and join me in the sewing room. I love the change in the weather. The hot humid summer is over and fall blows in with its crisp autumn air and the smell of burning leaves, the scent of fresh apples and school buses. Fall brings school buses taking little ones back to school all day long - aahhhhhhhh.
I'm definitely a fall person - the cooler crisp air, the falling leaves (they're blowing like crazy outside right now, lol), the beautiful colors, and most especially - the PUMPKIN PIE!

My favorite thing about the Fall is all the soups and sandwiches for dinner. There is just something about a stew and French bread that completes the brisk days!
Hope I'm not to late. Looked at some of these blogs the other day but didn't have chance to enter. I think one of my favorite things in fall is to make some home made hot cocoa mix, make some up and grab my fleece tied blanket. Then grab a craft to work on or a good book, sometimes through a good movie in and just snuggle down to watch the wind blow those colorfull leaves around. Thank you for doing the give away.
